After an exhausting but rather pleasant 24 hour flight, we finally arrived into London this morning.
From here, our travels really start so despite feeling a bit of flight fatigue, I am feeling really excited!
After being picked up at the airport, we arrive at our uber-glamorous hotel in Mayfair.
The hotel is quite a celebrity haunt and there are quite often paparazzi camped outside waiting for B-listers or C-listers (those who need the publicity) coming in and out of the hotel lobby. Today was no exception and as we rolled up to the hotel entrance, I'm sure today's paparazzi were disappointed with us "Z-listers".... alas, probably no scoop today.
Anyway, having dropped our luggage off, I was very much looking forward to showing Steve around the local area. So, we rugged up in our winter gear to prepare ourselves for the very cold 1 degree weather....brrrr.
After grabbing a coffee to help kee us warm, we wandered up towards Oxford Street.
I discovered this super cute chop called Miller Harris on Bruton Street which sells divine fragrances, candles, soaps and had a lovely tea room - will be sure to be back to try a cup of tea there.
We continue to meander around this beautiful area including perving on some serious luxury brand window displays along New Bond St - I am totally resisting any splurges knowing that everything will be on sale when I get to New York (my final destination) - Steve is impressed and relieved....!
